Multiple times a year around the country, automakers get to show off their newest upcoming vehicles at various auto shows. These occasions are a great chance for fans to get a look at and learn about new vehicles. Jeep® automakers are kicking off 2018 with something a little different. They’re showing off their new 2018 Jeep® Wrangler at the upcoming CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2018. That’s because the latest iteration of the iconic and highly capable off-road vehicle is packed with some amazing tech features.

The first new Jeep tech feature isn’t exactly part of the new 2018 Jeep Wrangler but rather a companion feature for your iOS device. It’s called the Jeep Adventure Reality app and it lets users configure their ultimate Jeep Wrangler and even see what it would look like in their driveway thanks to augmented reality.

In keeping with the mobile theme, the comprehensive Uconnect® infotainment system is now compatible with both Android and Apple smartwatches. Users can now lock/unlock their Jeep Wrangler right from their watches. Other watch-based features include flashing your lights and even remotely starting your vehicle. A feature which we love here at Woody Folsom Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, especially during the cold Minnesota winter months.

If you don’t have a smartwatch but happen to have an Amazon Alexa, you’re still in luck as the 4×4 SUV is compatible with the device as well, allowing you to activate various features like turning on the engine, checking fuel levels, and getting directions via voice command.

While some features appear to be Jeep Wrangler specific, others like the Uconnect features will be more universal, meaning if you’re looking at another vehicle like the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee, you can enjoy plenty of the latest tech.
