Dodge automakers are making news again at this year’s Chicago Auto Show. Last year they made headlines for introducing the 2018 Dodge Durango SRT with a HEMI® V8 engine that produced a whopping 475 horsepower. This year, they’ve brought something else for us to get excited about.
The automaker introduced a 2018 Dodge Durango with new Mopar performance parts and optional styling elements. What exactly does this mean? Well, if you thought the 2018 Dodge Durango R/T and Dodge Durango SRT didn’t emit enough vroom, you’re in luck. Mopar is introducing a performance exhaust system with the help of the Dodge Durango SRT engineers. It includes a stainless steel exhaust system that features 4-inch tips. Oh, and it’s also available now on the Dodge Durango R/T model, with the Dodge Durango SRT getting the same treatment sometime later this year.
However, a new exhaust system isn’t the only thing that Mopar is adding to these Dodge Durango models. They’re also releasing a performance suspension spring kit for the vehicle later this spring which will drop the ride height of the vehicle by 0.6-inches and reduce squat during acceleration as well as brake drive and body rolls around corners.
This is big news as it’s coming from Mopar, the authentic parts maker for all Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep®, and RAM vehicles. Since these are Mopar enhancements, you know that you’re getting the best of the best and that each part was explicitly built for the 2018 Dodge Durango, giving you peace of mind as well as some excitement.
Additionally, if you’re a fan of stripes, you’re in luck. FCA US LLC is adding dual-center exterior stripes to the options list for the Dodge Durango R/T and SRT models as well.
We’ll keep you posted about when all these features become available here at Woody Folsom Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM. In the meantime, visit our Baxley, GA dealership for all your vehicle needs.
