Recently, spy photos of the 2019 RAM 1500 came our way and we’re as excited as ever to learn and share the details of this next fantastic pickup truck. It seems that completion on the next-generation of the RAM 1500 pickup is near and with it comes a little preview of what we can expect. While some of the photos captured a camouflaged model’s exterior the real treat are the photos that got a good glimpse of what’s inside the cockpit.
RAM trucks are known for their burly and tough exterior which pairs well to their luxurious and smooth interiors. It’s the perfect mesh between rugged and smooth. And the 2019 RAM 1500 interior doesn’t disappoint. The photos show a beautiful redesign to the instrument cluster which gives it a modern look due to cleaner and leaner lines throughout. Plenty of updated tech and amenities are expected to accompany the new model including the new 8.4 UConnect® infotainment system which features faster response times, an easier-to-use and navigate interface, and compatibility with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto®. Luckily, you don’t have to wait to experience this bit of tech as it’s already available in current RAM 1500 models.
Other changes include a new, streamlined steering wheel that’s less bulky and littered with buttons and a new gauge cluster which houses bold and stylish instrument dials. We also expect to see a larger, roomier cabin that won’t take away from cargo space but will give bigger passengers some more freedom.
