Auto shows are a great way for automakers to show off their new vehicles as well as new vehicle concepts. It’s always fun to see what’s in store for us when it comes to our favorite models and brands as well as what could be coming down the road. Often a concept vehicle will go through a lot of changes before it becomes a production model, but that doesn’t mean that we’re any less interested in them. Especially when they’re concepts like the new Jeep® Yuntu model that the automaker showed off at the Shanghai Motor Show. And here at Woody Folsom Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, we think this model has a lot to offer.

The Jeep Yuntu concept is an interesting one because unlike some of the crazier concepts, it seems fairly standard, which isn’t a bad thing. In fact, this new concept could be a pretty accurate preview of what the design of the next generation of Jeep models will look like. Though it looks different than the current lineup of new Jeep models for sale, it doesn’t look out of place. Overall all, it looks like a future and larger version of the 2017 Jeep Renegade, with a few more tweaks of course.

Inside, the Jeep Yuntu is a delight. Two screens sit in the back of the front seats so passengers can stay entertained on longer trips. What’s really unique though is the large long screen that consumes the entire dashboard. There are even infotainment controls for the passenger underneath the airbag. Also nice is the fact that this concept is a true three-row SUV, something the Jeep lineup doesn’t currently have.

There are also “PHEV” badges on the exterior which indicate that this could not only be the largest Jeep SUV yet, but it could be the first that has a plug-in hybrid drivetrain. Overall, the new Jeep Yuntu concept looks stunning and we hope that it becomes a reality in some form or another.
