You may not realize it, but this brutally hot summer is taking its toll on your car. The good news is that with these tips, you can keep your vehicle running well no matter how hot it gets.
Keep an Eye on Your Coolant
As temperatures rise, it’s vital that your car stays cool. In order function, the coolant in your radiator has to be at the proper level. Checking this every few weeks or so is a good idea. And if you notice that the line on your temperature gauge keeps getting closer to the H, think about having your vehicle looked at.
Closely Monitor Your Tires
The more you drive, the more the pavement wears down your tires, and this is exacerbated when the asphalt is extremely hot. If your tires are balding, driving on them is very unsafe. The same is also true if they aren’t inflated properly. Being under- or over-inflated can put you at risk for a blowout.
Replace Your Windshield Wipers
If you do a lot of driving in or around Baxley, you are probably used to all sorts of things hitting your windshield. With these dry conditions, it does not take long for dirt and dust to coat a car. And this means your windshield wipers have to be up for the challenge. If they seem to do more harm than good, have them replaced. Also, don’t forget to always have a full reservoir of windshield wiper fluid.
Fix Your AC
If the AC doesn’t work well – or perhaps at all – in your 2019 RAM 1500 or whatever you drive, this summer has probably been pretty bad for you. Fortunately, there’s an easy way you can fix this. Whether you drive a RAM, a Dodge Charger, or anything else, our service department can get your AC up and running again quickly.
