There’s a long history of muscle cars in America. Some have gone out of production, some have come back into production, and some never really went out of production for very long. Here at Woody Folsom Chrysler Dodge Jeep® RAM, we have pride in all the automobiles we sell. From our large selection of trucks like the 2016 RAM 1500 to our selection of pre-owned Dodge, Jeep, and Chrysler models, we aim to keep the American automotive tradition going.
While vehicles like the 2016 Dodge Challenger and the 2016 Dodge Charger have seen a resurgence over the last several years, not every American sports or muscle car has managed to bridge the wide gap between raw power and everyday practicality. Other vehicles have remained more mysterious and more unattainable. Vehicles like the venerable Dodge Viper.
The Dodge Viper is not long for this world but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t going out with a bang– or rather, five. It makes sense. The long sleek body and unparalleled V10 engine have made the Dodge Viper as vicious and intense as the snake it’s named after. And that’s why, in order to commemorate the 25-year existence of this American classic, the automaker is releasing a handful of special editions.
Four of these five special-edition Dodge Viper models will be based on the Dodge Viper ACR (American Club Racer). The fifth model is a sharp green colored model called the Dodge Viper Snakeskin Edition GTC and is based on the 2010 Dodge Snakeskin ACR.
Two of the Dodge Viper ACR special editions are also based on previous models. One model is the Dodge Viper VooDoo II Edition ACR, which is based on the 2010 Dodge Viper VooDoo. It will sport a liquid black exterior, unique badging, carbon ceramic brakes, and more. The other model is based on the 1998 Dodge Viper GTS-R GT2 Championship Edition, which is white with blue stripes.
While we may be saying goodbye to the Dodge Viper for good, there’s still plenty to enjoy here at Woody Folsom Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM. So stop on by today for all your Dodge needs.
