Not all 2016 Jeep® Cherokee SUVs are created equal, and if you’re trying to decide which one you’d like to drive off the lot, it helps to have a breakdown of which features are included with each model. For example, those who want to take their excursions off-road will be looking for different features than those simply wanting an SUV for their daily commute.
Sport
The Jeep Cherokee Sport could be considered the most “basic” model, but still has most of the features that make Jeep vehicles stand out. These come in front-wheel drive or four-wheel drive variations with an automatic 9-speed transmission. Hill start assist and stability control also come standard, as well as accident response and rollover mitigation. Keyless remote control, power windows, Bluetooth connectivity and touch screen monitor are also included.
Latitude
The Latitude is an upgraded model with a few more useful perks. This model has a leather-wrapped steering wheel with mounted touch controls for extra comfort. The windshield is deep tinted to block out the sun, the interior has LED lighting, and fog lights are standard. You can also choose from the standard 4-cylinder, 2.4-liter engine or a more powerful V6, 3.2-liter engine.
Trailhawk
The Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk is the model every serious outdoorsman needs, as it’s designed for off-road traveling in mind. Four-wheel drive is included with hill-descent control, off-road suspension and traction control. You’ll have some towing capabilities as the Trailhawk has front and rear tow hooks and a 5,500-lb GVWR payload package. And you can’t have an off-road vehicle without all-terrain tires.
